Programme for High School Students
Morning with the Toronto Symphony Orchestra is a programme for high school students that invites music classes to attend a working rehearsal of the TSO. Students sit in the choir loft at Roy Thomson Hall and watch the conductor and orchestra rehearse over a two and half hour period. During the break, a musician from the orchestra or a guest artist speaks with the students about a variety of topics connected with the orchestra.
A member of the Volunteer Committee welcomes and monitors the students half an hour before the rehearsal begins, and discusses the programme, soloist, guest conductor and various aspects of the hall.
