What’s in your wine cellar? Toronto Symphony Orchestra Fine Wine Charity Auction search for donors is on!

TORONTO, ON, JUNE 2, 2014 — Why not consider a donation of fine wine from your personal collection to the 24th Annual Toronto Symphony Orchestra Fine Wine Charity Auction? Donations to the Auction are eligible for a charitable income tax receipt based on the appraised value of the wine in accordance with Canada Revenue Agency guidelines.

Since its inception 23 years ago, this annual fundraiser has raised over $5M with the generous support of donors and buyers. Funds raised support the world-class Toronto Symphony Orchestra (TSO) and its school and community programmes.

Peter Oundjian, the TSO’s Music Director, says, “Your generous support of the Fine Wine Auction helps the Toronto Symphony Orchestra to continue to play a vital role in the cultural life of our city. Through your gifts to this event you support the TSO’s music education and outreach programmes, which help us educate tomorrow’s concert patrons!”

Donations of fine wine are accepted year-round. However, wine for the 2014 Auction must be received by July 31, 2014. The Auction takes place on November 13, 2014, in Toronto.
